A soft place to land while you heal
Helping youth and adults navigate trauma, anxiety and life’s challenges with compassion, clarity and hope.
You don’t have to carry this alone
You might look like you’re holding everything together on the outside, while inside you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure how to make sense of it all.
Maybe you’re feeling anxious, stuck in old patterns, emotionally drained, or disconnected from yourself. Or perhaps you’ve been carrying so much for so long that you’ve forgotten what it feels like to slow down.
Therapy offers a space to gently sort through what’s been weighing on you - at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. Healing doesn’t have to happen all at once. Together, we’ll move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.
How I can help
Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, parenting challenges, or a difficult season of life, therapy can offer a supportive space to feel understood, work through what you’re facing, and gently move toward healing.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
-
ART may be helpful for trauma, anxiety, phobias, grief and distressing experiences that continue to feel emotionally or physically activating. It can be especially helpful when a memory feels “stuck” or continues to trigger strong reactions.
-
ART sessions are 90 minutes. You will be guided through a structured process using eye movements and guided imagery while focusing on the experience or concern you would like to address. You remain awake, aware, and in control throughout the session and may pause at any time.
-
ART may not be suitable for every person or concern. We can discuss what you hope to work on during a free consultation and decide together whether ART may be an appropriate option.
ART is a focused, trauma-informed approach that uses guided imagery and eye movements to help reduce the emotional intensity connected to distressing memories and experiences. You remain in control throughout the process and do not need to share every detail of what happened.
Hi, I’m Lisa,
I'm a Registered Social Worker with many years of experience supporting children, youth, and adults through anxiety, trauma, and difficult life experiences.
My approach is warm, grounded and attachment - informed. I believe healing happens when people feel emotionally safe, understood and accepted. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to pretend you’re okay or have everything figured out before reaching out.
I integrate Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), attachment-informed approaches, and evidence based therapeutic strategies to support meaningful, lasting change.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren, travelling, running, and getting outdoors for walks in nature—often with my dog. These are some of the things that help me slow down, stay grounded, and appreciate the everyday moments.

Questions You May Have
-
Getting started begins with a free 15 minute telephone consultation. This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what is bringing you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether my services may be a good fit for your needs.
If we decide to move forward, we will schedule an initial session and you will receive intake and consent forms through a secure online portal to complete beforehand.
During the first session, we will take time to explore your concerns, relevant history, strengths, and goals for therapy. We will then work together to develop an approach that feels supportive, collaborative, and paced for you.
-
For children and youth, a parent or legal guardian typically will be asked to participate in the initial session. This provides an opportunity to discuss current concerns, relevant history, goals for therapy, and any questions about the counselling process. Depending on the young persons age and needs, part of the session may also be spent meeting with them independently.
Required consent and intake forms will be provided through the secure online portal before the appointment.
-
Therapy sessions are collaborative and tailored to your individual needs, goals, and comfort level. Sessions provide space to explore what is happening in your life, better understand patterns and emotions, develop practical tools, and work toward meaningful change.
You will not be expected to share more than you are ready to. We will move at a pace that feels manageable, regularly check in about what feels helpful, and adjust our approach as needed.
Individual therapy sessions are 60 minutes.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes to allow enough time to complete the process without feeling rushed.
The frequency of appointments will be discussed together and may change as your needs evolve.
-

There are limited circumstances in which information may need to be shared without your consent, including when there is a serious risk of harm, when there are concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child or when disclosure is required by law or court order.
These limits will be reviewed with you as part of the informed consent process.
For children and youth, confidentiality will be discussed with both the young person and their parent or legal guardian, including what information may remain private and when information may need to be shared for safety or legal reasons.
